Dr. Michael Coccia, M.D., F.A.C.S

I grew up in Ohio and love its cold winters, its sports teams and The Ohio State University, where I earned my medical degree after graduation from Kent State University.

Becoming a doctor was a goal I set as a young boy when a close family member suffered a serious illness. As a medical student I was motivated to learn all that I could about providing the best possible health care options for my future patients.

In my practice, it is my desire to offer competent and compassionate care and to recognize that surgery is often a life-changing event for the people I treat. It’s important for me to answer their questions and calm their concerns. Hearing from them on many occasions that I have helped make their experience less stressful is meaningful to me.

I am grateful to my family and friends who support me in meeting the demands of my practice and appreciate the relationships that I have developed with other health care professionals.
